ABOUT

Gift is an award-winning documentary filmmaker based in North Carolina with a passion for storytelling that fosters empathy.

Growing up with Afro-Caribbean and African American roots, she values the intersectionality of each individual’s story.

She has worked on projects ranging from social media content for an Oscar-shortlisted film to branded documentaries for an institution of higher education.

Her film Echoes Unheard earned selections into three festivals and won Best Short documentary at the 2024 NC Black Film Festival. Gift graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2023 with a degree in Communications and Journalism and a minor in African American and Diaspora Studies.

She is an Independent Filmmaker and a Cinematographer at the NC Wildlife Agency. In her free time, Gift enjoys family, photography and interior design.
